newbie fog light question

ok guys so i have the stock hid lights on my 08 3.5se. the plain yellow fogs are driving me nuts so i want to get hid fogs. here is my question, do i have to buy a whole new setup, or can i just switch out the bulbs.....or how does that work? any help is appreciated.

and if i have to buy a whole new setup, what would you reccomend?

i switched my to 6000K flex bulbs look nice and cheaper and btw cough * yankees suck * cough hehehehe j/k
