I have been rebuilding a KA24DE and reading through this forum and read that some people dont worry about emissions and some do. I am in Florida and dont need to worry about emissions. My questions are:

1. What can I leave off.2. How do I plug it up3. Will it effect the ECU.4. What happens if I take out all the a/c components, compressor and all.

Sorry if these have been asked before and they might seem stupid. I would like to get help on this while the engine is out.

Thanks

I have removed my cat, no problem. Same for AC equipment. The charcoal canister also will not affect engine light, but will cause idle problems with a full tank. I spliced the two fuel lines together and plugged the vacuum line, so I do not know if another method will work better. I have read that you can remove all emissions without fear, but someone with more Nissan experience will have to go into detail.

I removed my charcoal and plugged the lines and have no problem idling, regardless of how much fuel is in the tank.

Just an FYI
