Hi all. New Rogue owner here. Purchased a 2010 SL AWD back in November. I love the thing. However, I had a Sentra before it and my girlfriend has a Sorento. Both had a touch screen stereo. I miss that. So I'm looking at upgrading.

I have the Bose system. Have no desire to change the speakers or anything. I simply want a touch screen stereo and be able to add the feature of Bluetooth streaming audio from my android Galaxy Note 2 and my gf's and daughters iPhone 4S's.

From what I have read via much searching (which leaves a bit to be desired I must say, but I did learn some things), is this.
Unit: Pioneer AVH-X2500BT http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X2500BT ... 500BT.html
I will need:
* Dash kit (I've read the Scosche fits better than the Metra)
* Wiring Harness
* Antenna Adapter
* Axxess ASWC or PAC SWI-RC (to enable use of the steering wheel controls with the new head unit)
* PAC OEM-1 (to allow me to connect to the factory Bose amp and sub with the correct outputs)

Am I missing anything? I must say I'm still unsure on how/if I will be able to use the handsfree calling system.

Thanks in advance for the great info on here. I already have found the DIY for transfer case and rear differential fluids which I will be doing this weekend.

Hey kcrowe! You're pretty close on all you need, with the exception of the OEM-1. You don't really need it to hook up to the factory Bose in the Nissan.

Here are the parts you need. Don't mind the Sonicelectronix site, I love that place and I've had good luck. You can get these parts anywhere though, including ebay.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_228 ... -7553.html - Wiring Harness for Bose

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_142 ... N1644.html - 2010 Dash kit

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_148 ... -NAA2.html - Nissan antenna adapter

Either one of these.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_228 ... -ASWC.html - ASWC
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_180 ... WI-PS.html - PAC steering wheel controls.

Lemme know if you need help. Dash is a piece of cake to take out :)

**edit**
Oops, didn't see the question about the hands free. It gets a little interesting as your factory bluetooth will no longer function, however the Pioneer's will. It'll take the place of your factory handsfree. You would route the microphone to the top of the headliner for best reception, and the steering wheel control modules (either the PAC or the ASWC) will send the proper signals to the headunit when you need to make a call. This way the buttons on your steering wheel work like factory. It's pretty cool actually.

I've installed a few of these new Pioneer headunits and messed with em. My friend has the 8400BH in his WRX, so I have quick access to one if you need help with a feature.

Thanks! I actually checked out sonic and have all that in my carture. They are cheaper, I just wasn't sure of how good they were. I know I've never had issue with Crutchfield. I took the dash apart to install the clip for my XM Radio, and you are right. Super simple. biggest issue is remembering to unscrew the center speaker before you yank. haha.

Ok, so.
* I DO NOT need the PAC OEM 1? My understanding was that if I simply used the harness and that was it, that it would sound awful and essentially be bypassing the sub and amp for the Bose system. Is that not correct?
* Mic, so I will need a new microphone to hook to the new head unit? I will not be able to use the factory mic? But the mic isn't part of the new head unit package. How should I go about that?

Thanks again for the great info and quick replies!

The Harness I linked you is for the Bose System. The RCA's plug into the low level speaker outs, and connect to the amp that way. The amp turn on is connected to the headunit's turn on. That's how it integrates. You're not bypassing it at all, you're integrating it.

A Mic is included with the new headunit. You cannot tap into the factory mic. I haven't looked up, but it would be more work then it's worth to splice in.

Excellent. That is the harness I have in my cart on the sonic site. So good. I honestly didn't realize it was different, or that a mic was included. So thanks alot! Pics will come soon!

You should trade it in for a 2012 :chuckle: .... I tell you that all-around camera is enough to make you forget about heated rear seats, etc. etc..... Its fricken amazing.

If i could integrate it into an aftermarket radio, I'd def get that. lol. Our 12 Special Edition doesn't have that feature.
