Hi all! I am new to this forum and apologize if this has been posted already!

I have a 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe with 17,500 miles on it. Two days ago, the Brake, Slip and VDCOFF" dash lights came on and stayed on for about 2 days.

Yesterday, when leaving work, started the car, lights are all off. I checked rear brakes when lights initially came on, they are low, but not horrible, fronts, worn but not bad. Brake fluid a tiny bit low but not enough that I would think it would trigger the lights to come on?

Anyway, I hve a new set of brakes to put on it but now am wondering if this is some other problem? I figured if low brakes triggered the lights to come on they would continue to stay on, especially since i have been driving the thing. It is freezing cold here now, so if I can hold off on putting brakes on for a day that is a little nicer I'd be thrilled!

Any input would be very helpful. I'm baffed on why the lights went off.

Thanks for helping a new chick! -Shay

The worn brakes trigger the lights. Just replace the pads and you will be good to go.

low brakes would tripper the lights if they are worn down enough that the fluid level goes below the sensor. Your brake fluid could be low, but it could also be a failed throttle body or abs sensor. Your car is pretty new, so it should be covered by warranty. See your dealer.
