Newbie 2003 G35 Dead???

Hey there any suggestions would be much appreciated. Spent the evening washing and waxing my baby, cleaned out the interior. Then started it up and noticed it seemed to rev up when I put it in reverse and also noticed that the indicator in the dash didn't show what gear it was in and the check engine or service engine light was also on. I backed it into the driveway and now it won't start. Lots of power so I can't see it being the battery. It seems as though the car is in gear, turn the key and nothing at all. Any suggestions on what I may be able to check myself or does it look like a trip to the shop?http://www.nicoclub.com/forums/thread-i ... nfused.gif

Did you check the codes (Check engine light) with a code scanner?

What do you mean? Is the starter cranking the engine but it doesn't start?

So the engine doesn't crank and no lights come on the dash yet you stated lots of power and you can't see it being the battery?

Please clarify the symptoms.

Did you get something electrical wet when you washed the car?
