sorry about that. I guess this post deserves no help. pics gone!

well I finally have begun work on my car. You know, I have to praise GOD for getting me home from New Hampshire. that's where I purchased the car.Reason being, I found quite a bit of things not right.evidently top end work was done because a few bolts weren't even seated. Can you say vacuum leak? Also I had a few coolant hoses that had no clamp on them. I counted 4. I was definitely leaking due to the small amount of coolant drained.also, I found 2 bigger vac hoses (homemade) crimped so bad, I am surprised that I got no engine light. but that may explain why my transmission is in limp mode. it shifts from 2-3 fine but wont stay in 4th or go into OD. when i accelerate, it shifts to fourth, but no matter how fast I'm going, as soon as i let off the gas, it down shifts to 3. I got the datascan so ill be looking into that soon enough. what you see in the engine bay pic is as far as i got. ill try to complete the timing guards tomorrow. i see the blue rtv so no work has been done. i hope the guards are still in one piece. then I wont have to drop the oil pan. pick and pull yard have a bunch of these q45's and i plan to rape for hoses and little things to bring it back to stock. are there any items recommended to get that are known to go bad? anyone in the Gaithersburg,Germantown,Rockville Maryland area?

Used hoses sure aren't the answer unless you like catastrophic failure.
