himy name is jayi'm not american so my english is pretty much broken

i bought 1989 240sx coupe 5speed for 400 dollarsand i spend 1000 dollars to make it run (i bought nice used ka24e)

i was shocked by supped up camry beat my car so easilySo.. i decided to put more power to my car

i have aprx. 1000 dollar in my pocket(i have job too....), i know SR20DET is way too expensive for me, so i'm thinking to upgrade Turbo on my Car or Buy CA18DET engine. I've done lots of research, i figured CA is easier to rev high than ka(my KA ran til 6500rpm, but lots of vibration, kinda scary). But CA's displacement is 600cc less than Ka.... so...... I don't know which one to buy.My future goal is 5second, and 300 hp. (not at the first time, it's my final goal. i know CA makes 170hp. is 300hp too much for ca?)

Thanks

oh no... not another "Im a street racer..." thread... oh no..

WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO!!!!

BTW, welcome to the forum.

I will be nice today and not flame...

Depending on how much mileage you have and depending on the compression results you might want to turbo the KA. There are alot of supports for it. If you want 300HP, you can go with a stageII BD kit with Enthalpy ECU. Everything plug n play and you should get about 250~280 rwhp

CA is definitely a nice option if your KA is not in its perfect condition. There are more aftermarket support for CA parts now a days as well.

I would imagine turboing the KA would be easier esp with the Enthalpy ECU...

But.... suped up camry.. wtf :tisk

Welcome to nico...like stated above, if your KA isn't in the best of shape the CA is a good affordable and fun option.
