Alumni is plural, alumnus is the male form, alumna is female form.

Yes thanks for your english lesson, I passed that when you were in diapers, alumni meaning ALL (plural) the Gold Clubs.

Maybe you shouldn't have passed. Alumni would refer to plural persons who graduated/attended, not institutions/schools/etc which you graduated from. If you wanted the place to be plural you simply make the Gold Club into Gold Clubs (as you did).

Fellas, relax! Some of the recent threads in this forum are starting to sound like something from my350z.com. Alumni, alumnus, alumna....we got what you mean, no need to talk down and call people out on their verbal skills. If you have a Z let's talk about it. If not, too bad for you!

WOW you must really be bored it was a joke from the start. probably should have just kept your mouth shut. But I understand sometimes people who THINK they are smarter because they Google or Wiki for hours at a time tend to try and nit pick other people for their self gratification. Oh and I have a Programming and a Accounting degree you have not been in school long enough to correct me.

I was primarily joking as well, and it was initially directed at the OP since she said alumnus and is female.

As to "thinking I'm smart".... its a latin root word. I took 5 years of latin, I linked Wiki to add cred. to my post. Regardless, intelligence or "smart" as you put it encompasses more than just knowing random facts such as the proper gender for alumus.
