I just bought a 91 S13 HB 240sx. I want to do more engine mods to the cars before I do the body and looks. I decided to go with the SR20DET. My friends constantly mock my car because it is older and slower than there EVOS and what not. I'm sorry my mom and dad didn't give me $30,000 to buy an EVO or something fast. So like everybody else here...I wanna smoke em. Since I am newer to the car and the import tuning world, I would like to put a RB25 or RB26, but this takes a lot of modifications and money. After I get my SR20, what else should I do? I need a fast car. Please point me in a direction on what to do next and guidelines to follow. Also what is a good turbo to buy for a cheap price?Remember like everyone else I want fast. If i can smoke a EVO I'll be pretty damn happy then finally. My other friends will stop badmouthing 240s.

Please Help....and try not to put me down.I mean I kno I'm gonna get pushed around and most will make fun of meBut remember I'm a newbThanks

your only 16.... the first mod you can do is get your shifting and driving experience up to parr then move up to bigger and better things like major engine mods and swaps. use the form search engine threads like this have been covered a million times....O yea and welcome to the world of 240sx's!!!

i would say get the s15 sr20 and front mount intercooler a good boost controller high volume fuel pump full exhaust limited slip diffy and some suspension components, it mostly depends on if your friends drive evo 8s or 9s and if they are stock or not.

first lol, you need to know a hell of a lot more about cars before you touch swapping engines.

but since you need direction here. a stock evo is a bout 285-300 awhpthe sr20det is about 210 hp stock.

to achieve numbers of the stock evo you're prob going to want bigger injectors, the s15 turbo (t25) new fmic and piping and a bov, then you're going to need a new clutch to hold that much power. then you just need to tune it. anything else to get to 400 hp is a couple other mods its not that complicated it just takes $

LOL!!! I am not making fun or anything, But you need to do some reaserch on cars bro. I have driven evos, 285bhp not whp, second, s15 sr's come with a t28 ball bearing turbo. This is not my first turbo car by any means, I drive a s13 hatchy with a redtop and t28 ball bearing turbo. I have had many others. I agree with all your other info on injectors and the such. But just the hp numbers you threw out are not correct. And I dont want you misleading anyone. So please before throwing info out, to anyone, n00b or not, please make sure that its correct!
