I have a 91 240SX w/ the KA24DE. I work for a towing place that brings in a lot of salvage and currently we have a 95 240 w/ the same block in it. My question is, which mechanical parts can be swapped between those years..i.e.-could I use the engine, transmission, etc since they are OBD different? I just want to be sure because I realize that with some vehicles there are more sensors or they are in different positions, etc.

if you want to swap the whole engine youre good to go. the head on the s14 is mechanically identical but the valve covers are different, so there's that.

easiest thing to do to would be to just use the block/head from the s14 and swap your intake/exhaust manifolds onto it. thats what i did when it was new motor time. keep your 91 cams though, the s14 versions are slightly less aggressive.

you can use either transmission, theyre the same.
