Been thinking about getting a Datsun 510 and put a sr20det in it. And was wandering how much whp power do you think it will make with upgraded intake, intercooler, intake manifold, downpipe, and a good tune?

Also how much are looking at for the swap like everything needed for it to run. so far I see its gonna be about 2k for the motor and 1200 for the tranny.

Any suprises I might find along the way?

First off, be warned this swap can easily get out hand money wise. The stock front cross member, sway bar and tranny mount bracket will be an issue. You can try fabricating the cross member and the tranny mount bracket your self. You still need to purchase a new aftermarket sway or do with out it. I also think the stock Turbo exhaust manifold has to be replaced due to space constraints. All the the SR swapped 510's I've seen don't have enough room for a brake booster which kinda sucks. Here are some sites for you to poke around.
