Newb intro... sort of.. and a few questions.

Sorry, but long.

I've been lurking on here for a while as I was searching for a pathfinder, well 4 months later, I picked one up yesterday. I'm here to learn and be humbled with your expertise.

It's a 1997 Canadian (if there is a difference) XE (VG33 i think.. lol). no sunroof, no leather, but power everything else and a/c. NO rust, body and interior is in great shape/clean and very low km's (139,000 kms... about 70 000ish miles???). To kick it off, the seller maintained it pretty well and sold it to me for cheap and threw in a set of 2001 + model pathy rims with good michelin tires.. so I am very happy. I think the color is maroon..

I'm no newb to nissans. I had a 91 s13 and rebuilt the motor.. then sold I currently have a 93 black S13 LE that I rebuilt the motor and turbo'd and I am a mod for my local 240 club (v240.. haha shameless plug).. so I am very wrench happy!

anyways.. i usually got to powerbulbs.com to buy really awesome bulbs, but for some reason they dont sell 9004 bulbs.. then the hunt continued online and local stores yesterday. not many options. I dont want that ricer blue cr*p. I want to improve the night time visibility. any suggestions on bulbs?

so far sylvannia sylvertars were the only option at one store but only improve the light by 30%.. and costs almost $50 CDN.. damn.. i can get 4 bulbs from powerbulbs with free shipping for that much..

now im on the hunt for a tow hitch and a front bush bar... i will research a bit more, but any quick suggestions? hidden hitch i guess is my first option?

im also looking around for some tow straps/rope to carry around in the back just in case... what is good strap.. im thinking 2000lbs is fine for light off roading and towing?

okay... sorry to bother you guys... im just excited and on the hunt for parts.

welcome!!! Better post pics! i wanna see those rims on a 1997.

me and my buddy are currently working on a 91 s13. It wont start so far though.. but we will get it starting soon.

anyways about those bulbs...hmmm i am just like u i hate that blue ricer crap. Well the brightest ones i know of is from piaa. There 55/65 watts are as bright as 135 watts bulbs...except it is very pricey, will cost about 90 dollars for h4 bulbs.

just google piaa lights and see what u can find.

i got some tow straps also...go to gender mt or bass pro shop and grab yoruself some tow straps. its always a good idea!

and i havent seen any hidden hitches but if yoru good with customizing, i bet u could get a tow hitch and get it to fit in the bumper...thats what i want to do to improve clearance from the rear when offroading.

well the snow melted away and it wasn't pissing rain, so I decided to switch wheels and work on the car. 2001 wheels/tires raised the height of the pathy.. I LOVE it.

made the white fogs work, but frig.. for some reason the yellow fogs don't work.

oh well, i bought a new set today as the yellow ones that came with the pathy are rusted and the lenses are broken anyways.

I'll get some more pics later on when I have time and fix my yellow fogs.

oh man I can't wait to take it out on some trails.

oh and I just bought some clear 30% brighter bulbs from sylvania for cheap and they are definatly better then the old OEM ones.

sorry for the late reply.... selling.. well now that i have my pathfinder, im going to play with that for a while, see what i can do. and then im going to do a s14 build.

well im currently selling for $7699 CAD.. but at this rate i might make it stock and part the turbo kit and suspension, as i can prob get more money..
