wassup guys, just wanna say hello to everyone here. I just got an 89 240sx coupe the other day and excited to begin modding it. Hopefully you guys will help me out when I need it. Ok, gotta go now...peace everyone, and a happy new year.

PS: background info: Im a former dsm owner as well as a Del Sol/GSR hybrid owner. So in case anyone here (which I doubt) needs some help with 4g64, 4g63, or GSR swaps, let me know. I also own a 94 stock civic hatch as a daily driver.

wow. quick repliers..hehe

anyways, yeah..i got a 240sx coupe (wanted a hatch though). I got it from a mechanic friend of mine for my used ps2 ans two games. hah. Only problem is, it has a blown motor. I think im just gonna strip it for now.. and store it for a year. Then when i finish school, I'll hopefully be able to drop a sr20 in that motha. We'll see...btw: I am correct in assuming that my model 240sx (coupe) is considered a mod in itself in japan right? If memory serves me right, I have a "onevia" correct?

PS: h22a in civic/sol are great for straight line power. But terribly hard to maintain drivability. B motors are so much sweeter...my gsr/sol ran mid 14's right after I dropped a b18c motor on stock 13 donuts. hah. Anyways, enough honda talk. I "jumped" onto the nissan bandwagon again (90 maxima was my first car).

Welcome:) I hope you enjoy your new toy!

I myself am a former dsm owner and honda owner. The hell with all of that. Anyway just curious what type of DSM did you have?

And a few words of wisdom-"Don't ever try to convince someone on this sitethat a 4g63 is an impressively well built motor."Trust it would be a waist of your time even though it may be true.

welcome, you are right. in japan, a 'onevia' is a 180sx front on a silvia body. so, even though your's came that way from the factory, it could be called a 'onevia'.

oh yeah, to answer the previous question: I had a 96 eclipse spyder gs. Piece of **** 4g6"4" (not 3) motor. Sohc....or as i like to say the "SOHC (pronounced "suk") motor. Anyway, before the new 3g eclipse came out..most support was in the form of custom turbo kits and **** from AU. Now it has gotten alot better....but..of course the evo is coming in january..so the support for the 3g should definetly stop while tuning efforts go back into the 4g63 powered evo....a great piece of machine.

"misfire system" heh

anyways.... it was after i realized what a pos i had that I sold the car and got a del sol and installed a gsr motor. **** was a pocket rocket...and handled great for a front drive vehicle. Someone once told that a stock del sol performs sorta like the mini's of old....outclassing beamers in the salom...awe well...who knows...who cares...its all about the nissan now...

btw quickflow: the codename for the 4g63 motor around jersey is "bulletproof" b/c they handle boost so nicely...and in the drag world...all motor might be tight, but it aint winning as much as something juiced or boosted. period. but of course...the respect is better with NA...my 2 cents.
