newb here ? about bluebird sr20det

hey whats up all. im new, and still figuring out how to navigate the forum. hopefully askin a question wont upset anyone.

question i had is what is the difference in a bluebird sr20det motor, and a silvia s13 red top sr20det? i know the transmissions are different, but the motor itself? we know all about the silvia motors, but i was sorta perplexed with the bluebird motor. ive tried to search everywhere, but to no avail.

different head casting, different block casting, different accecory mountings, different motor mounts, Intake manifold inlet points in the opposite direction, uses different clutch and flywheel, Uses distributer instead of direct coil iginition, different and un-interchangeble ECU's, different wire harnesses, etc...

Less in common than one would think...

Its lots of odds and ends stuff that is interchangeble, like the oil filter. Engine internals can be swaped around too.
