i might be looking into buying a used 240 sx s13 hatch.how much should i look into spending on a good one in good shape.what should i look out for.how many miles do these cars last.and are there enough bolt-ons to get it into the low 14's.thanks for the help.

please if you want a "go fast in a straight line" car, get a mustang. s13s are meant to handle. i would never spend more than 3k on a stock s13. motors been known to last more than 200k if its been taken care of.

i didnt mean it like i wanted a drag car,but i have no idea how fast these cars are with the typical bolt-ons such as exhaust,intake ,etc..i am just curious.

well you can get answers to all your questions by going to the top right of the page and hitting the button.

and 3000 is a decent price for an s13 thats been taken care off, also 14's are possible if you have pretty much all N/A bolt-ons, upgraded drivetrain, stripped car, and an lsd... alot easier if you used a turbo or nitrous tho...

with normal bolt ons, you will still be in the 15s (dohc)

are these cars reliable,and can you safely put a turbo on to the stock motor,with out having to worry about blowing up,.sorry for all or the questions i am just looking for my first car and saw this car in the top ten used cars for under 10k in the recent sport compact .i love the looks of them,and have heard these are fun cars to drive.

yes, yes and you need proper mods to do it, cant just throw a turbo on and be done with it

they are pretty reliable, i wouldnt want to boost a stock motor tho, esp an s13 cuz they will generally have higher miles

wow thats pretty brave. I guess you could always pick up a low mileage if somthing happens. Let me know how that turns out.
