I just bought an S14 (95) recently and I plan on installing a turbo to the KA. But first I want to make any little mods to increase throttle response and gain any hp. I already plan on swapping the fuel filter with one from a 300zx. Could anyone give me any other suggestions to tap into the engine's full potential while in its N/A form?

All the typical bolt ons, it's just like any other car. If you really want to go turbo, then you can get pulleys, a lightweight flywheel, exhaust.
