Hi guysLooking at a few 06 G35Xs and probably going to check a few of them out soon. I've finally settled on this car (not that it's "settling" to choose this car) after months of researching literally every brand available with AWD (requirement for my next car). Either other options were too expensive, too expensive to maintain, had too many miles, were too slow and boring or were the same as I already have. Or the wife hated it... So here we are. I like the 07+s but out of the budget for now (14-16k ish)

So is there anything particular I should check on the car or ask the dealer when there to test drive the car(s)? I have never driven a G35 or any Infiniti for that matter. The last Nissan product I drove was a European spec 1988 Nissan Maxima so hardly a fair comparison.

It seems to be a good all-around car. Legendary engine (I'm into engines more than anything else), good power, AWD, seems reliable, I've read it's fun to drive and wife-approved to boot - I think it might be the one...

Any help and advise is appreciated. Thanks guys/gals

Jacob

i have a 2005 G35x with 61k miles... i have to say i havent had much of any problem out of my car. the only thing that has happened to my car was a warranty fix of my fuel dampers. basically you could hear fuel delivery to the engine when you pressed the accellerator. Then i had the factory battery finally give out. Other than those two small things my 2005 g35x hasnt had any problems and isnt giving any sign of a problem...

when you test drive your infiniti, ask about the last time the brakes/rotors have been changed, as that has been my only "high" priced maintience item. (but i do have an 2005, and in 2006 they changed the brakes)

My car at 61k miles still rides very smooth and you barley hear the engine at idle... so you should expect the same from a younger car.
