Post

i just bought a 2004 6mt G35 coupe and i am planning on doing some mods. i read in many different posts that many people get the motordyne 5/16" iso thermal plenum spacer kit (which i found for $295) and on the same website i found motordyne mrev 2 vq35de (for $486, http://www.i-m-racing.com/momrplvq35g3.html )

what is the purpose of the mrev 2?does it matter since i have an 04 coupe (i think i read somewhere its for 05+)?should i just get the spacer kit, or both, and why?can i beat those prices? (where?)

thanks for your replies or links to other posts that i mustve missed in my searching

Definately a lot of posts on G35driver but would suggest you also look at MotorDyne's web site.

Basically, MREV2 is a modified lower collector that comes from the '04 and earlier model years. Initially, MREV (04 collector) was only for '05 and greater as there was no differnce for the 03-04's.

MREV+ was the initial mod to that collector that was found to work on all model years (through 06).

MREV2 is latest mod version applicable to all years as well.

I have 3/8" iso-thermal kit with MREV2 on my '04 coupe (by the way, congratulations) and am very happy. Note that the full kit has been shown to gain additional HP/TQ from a dyno-tune with some type of EMU or reflash of the stock ECU. I haven't taken that plunge yet but will very soon.

Also worthy to note is that Tony (Hrydrazine- MotorDyne owner) provides the best customer service that I've ever experienced. He's an enthusiast. inventor and great community (G35 / 350Z) member, then a business man that knows how to take care of his customers. You can't go wrong. The kits have been proven in dozens of independant dyno's and Nissan Sport Magazine shoot out.

..by the way - this is not an advertisement. It's a testimonial.

Enjoy!
