300zx tt? ?soon?

Post

Ok so i didnt know if my question is general or Technical or just a little of both.

So im very vlose to buying a 91 300zx tt From oakbank ontario. The seller says the cars in good condition although fuel pump and timing belt werent changed and are about due the engine and transmission is already out so workjng on the car shouldnt be too hard(right?). Also he said i will have to change the usaul for enige swaps.

the car is being sold for 4,5k and shipping to toronto cheapest is 2k. So thats about 7k

How much more will i need to put into the car to get running?
What will i need or should check on/for the car?
opinions or questions?

$4500 dollars for a non running car with the engine and transmission off???? Maybe $500

IMHO, I would not buy it unless you really know the person and what been done to the car.

Why did the owner abandon the project? Sounds like you are buying someone else's problems.

I agree. with the motor and trans pulled, it is not a car. it is a failed project. Never pay decent condition running car prices for something like that.

That said, yes, it is a lot easier to do the T-Belt and such with the motor out. What does he mean by "he said i will have to change the usaul for enige swaps. " Im assuming this is a N/A car that is being converted to TT?? there is a laundry list of things needed for that swap. no clue how much he has already done and bought prior to giving up on his project and trying to offload it on you.
