Just bought a 2004 Silverstone Touring Z with auto trans. I've been driving MR2s for the past 15 years. Definitely an upgrade. I love this thing!

The first perf mod I want to make is either a Stillen or Level Ten valve body for the auto trans. I really wanted a manual, but this Z is in show room condition. So I went AT. Any opinions on which way to go (Stillen or Level Ten)? Stillen is cheaper, but they don't have a core return policy, so your Z is down for a while. Can I do this in a day in my garage without pulling the trans? Any other opinions or how to links would be great.

Thanks, MJ

Welcome to Nico!and congrats on the Z!for me it's manual or nothing so I'm not familiar with the auto mods your talking about, but the Z is a completely different animal from the MR2, I hav an 86 MR2, best handling car I've driven in stock form, but painfully slow, I knwot he SC was quicker and I've driven a turbo second gen but they are still torqueless, the Z has got some torque

Ditto on the MR2 being too slow. I loved my 2s, but Toyota always underpowers their cars. I was also in the market for an FJ Cruiser, but it would have been the same Horse Power sit as the MR2. I've only had my Z 2 weeks and I can do things in it I would only have dreamed of in the 2.

This is going to be fun.

Thanks,MJ
