so i am picking up my new 350z from south carolina this weekend

I am selling my 240, so i will have a few grand to play around with. What mods can i do to my Z without voiding the warantee?

I would most likely go for intake, exhaust and maybe a nice set of rims for the summer..idk..

thankx

this is a touchy subject because Nissan NA has one cut and dry answer to it and your nissan dealer has another. Nissan NA will say only nismo s-tune parts are allowed and even r-tune parts void warranty. Ask your dealer because afterall they are the ones who are going to service it. Dealers are very mixed on how they cover warranties. We have a dealer in MD that is awesome and they even do aftermarket work, as long as that part isnt the reason the car is not functionally properly they will service it under the warranty. Other dealers will go as far as "branding" or "tagging" your car which is where they scan you vin bar code and it goes into a national dealer database as a voided warranty because you have non covered parts regardless of your problem. build up a good relationship with your service and parts department and see how they are going to work with you.

Best of luck!

not like you really need a whole lot to make it faster..but i heard that the swaybar make a huge difference..not like it needs it..i just drove one and it felt like it was on rails.that and a nismo exaust would be just fine for a while

Yes the sways and the exhaust offer amazing results. The exhaust is more noticeable in tandem with the intake. As far as fit and finish goes and warranties, I'd just go with the nismo stuff for now. Even though an intake from one company is just like that of the nismos, they still dont allow it so just be careful.

I hope you have deep pockets if you're going to be buying all nismo stuff. I know I do and I still can't afford it.

just got to shop around...a buddy of mine got the exhaust (ypipe center pipe and muffler) for around $950 (typical of other systems), he got the sways used on ebay for $250, the nismo short shifter from Japan for $222, and the intake for about %25 off. Find a dealer who will price match (you'd be surprised how many will) or just get the stuff online. if you search well enough you should be able to pick everything up for pretty reasonable prices. the mark ups are so high most companys are willing to work with you.
