I didn't even notice there was a Z forum here. Cool stuff! :D

I recently picked up a 75 280Z. Needs some work as the engine is currently not wanting to run and the body needs some help but by the time I'm done with it, its going to be major bad ***.

My plans include a Infiniti VH45DE, lowered compression, a single turbo setup, TTZ 5-speed transmission, and lots more. I'm hoping to push at the least 550 rwhp. I'm shooting for more which should be pretty easy with this engine. I can't wait at all for this. :ylsuper

If I don't get the L28 running soon it'll be running on the VH45DE very soon. My plans at the moment are to fly to Chicago, pick up a Q, and also pick up a TTZ 5-speed transmission. I can't wait.

Yeah, there's going to be lots of fabbing. I think the most difficult part will probably be the wiring. Its already scaring me and I haven't started to really pulling on them yet.

So far I have a lot of stuff off of the VH45 and pulled the ecu and wiring harness out of the car the other night. Just have some more disconnecting to do so I can get this beast out of there. :ylsuper

Nice!

Be sure and get some photos. I would guess that you are the only one to try this swap. At least on Nico.;)

Yeah, at least on NICO. There was a guy who did it recently in Japan and is the only one that we know for sure has completed the swap. He twin turboed it and I believe is pushing around 720 hp (not sure if that's whp or bhp) but they are aiming at doing 9's flat in the 1/4. The car is at http://www.zparts.com if you want to check it out. Blue 240Z V8 TT.
