So I picked up my project Z last year for $2500 and finally pulled it out of storage a month ago, it is a 1990 ttop manual that had a few mods
Completely rebuilt motor with literally 5 miles on it
oversized high compression piston
bored 60 over
Alloy connecting rods
High performance cams
660cc injectors
Hks high power exhaust
Cold air intake
Aftermarket exhaust manifold
Brand new recaro seats (still in bubble wrap)

Keep in mind the engine internals were done by a local reputable mechanic but it's were he left off and the owner continued that really has me scratching my head. The car has a misfire so I replaced the ptu and now it still has a misfire but sometimes runs well. The vacuum hoses are a complete cluster f*** because idiot didn't know what he was doing. The complete engine harness could be in a better condition. I also noticed a wobble on the crank pulley so i pulled it off and noticed that the woodruff key is almost completely stripped and the pulley itself is garbage. Now the cherry on top when I pulled the pulley I noticed the bolt that holds the pulley is stripped!! Now I'm wondering if the too is stripped inside. Any advice on this?

If I were you Id be all over the people who did the work on your engine and have them fix what they screwed up!
Make sure they got your PCV system hoses and Idle Air Controller hoses connected good and tight you don't want vacuum leaks. You can get a new wiring harness already ready at wiring specialties ready to plug and play with the right factory connectors already on it if you gotta pull the engine back out or pull the plentum and other hoses back there to get to the firewall to get the wiring harness installed (not fun but doable)

WOW, the mechanic really mess the shet out of your car. I would suggest taking the engine apart and inspect it. Maybe you can take his as to small claims.

What Chad said. Not a fun job pulling the motor but can be done with some patience and elbow grease.
If you do decide to swap out the 20+ year old harness, check us out.

Our VG30 harness is a direct replacement.

660 CC injectors in an NA?? those are really big for NA set up. Is the ECU re programmed for the injectors, other wise you'll be just flooding the cylinders.
