New Z owner/have you seen this Z

Ok so i just bought a 2003 touring yesterday and i thought the forums would be a good place to try to find history about the car and possibly the previous owner.

the weird part - why i want to find the ownerrandom a$$ wires spliced out of the MAF and some nameless controller box up under the pass. side dash

Also: later last night after driving the car back to jacksonville, the CEL, VDC and SLIP lights came on. after brief searching on here, could be MAF or the fact that the rear driver tire psi reader thingy is out...does that sound about right?

Hi and welcome to NICO.

Do you not know who owned the car before you? I think that person would be the best source of info on your car. Also, when you get a chance post some pics of the car and the wires and unknown controller box. It will help us come up with an answer for you.

ill post the pics and i got the car from a dealer so they said they couldnt give me the info for the last owner. i do know that i am the 4th owner besides dealers tho...that part kinda sucks. carfax says 1st owner had the car to 21k miles, 2nd owner had it to 41k miles, and 3rd owner took it to the 87k that i bought it at...so i figure that last one would be the likely one that did the stuff to it considering how much he drove it

finally got that stupid box out. ill post pics when i can later today. its a JET V FORCE box. it has one knob. it looks like it is ike 50 years old.

the bar on it show shows how hard im on the throttle but nothing else. there has to be more to it but i cant find anything
