My friend just called me like 2 minutes ago (93 swapped civic hatchback). He said he was racing a GS-R (about a car length ahead of it). They pass a gunmetal Z doing 100 (Z must have been doing 70 or so). The Z gets on it, and my friend shifts into 5th...he said in no time the Z is on their asses, pulls along side them, stares at them for a second and takes off.

New Z :owned two Hondas. I know this isn't suprising...just funny. Picture two little Hondas pushing it as hard as they can, and a Z passing them with no effort.

agreed. Anything passing 2 Hondas is very common I would assume. I can't wait to start passing them like nothing.

Imagine if they were on a roadcourse or a nice set of twisties. The Z would REALLY own them there.

Z weighs over 3500 pounds, not to say its not capable of beating down a civic in the straights, but I am curious to see how well it will perform on a track with all that weight!

how far is indianapolis from toronto repo?

Actually the new Z weighs in at 3250, not a light weight, but definitely not 3500. My 94 2+2 weighs in at a hefty 3450, but it is still fun to drive!!

i'm surprised the car weighs that much, it looks small in person and they only come as two seaters, what a tub! It's still breathtaking in person though, i kind of question why a Z driver would even waste their time with two Hondas in a new car.

adrenaline and testosterone, 2 things women are lacking in (probably a good thing!) ;) Probably nothing else even tried to challenge the car up until he saw the honduh boys on the highway. I know I'd be dying to see what the car can do if I had one. Wonder how it does on the 1/4 run?

I believe a fully equipped 350z comes in close to 3500lbs, don't quote me though, just something I read in Road & Track I believe? I actually though they said it was over 3500lbs, I was underestimating with my 3500lbs comment.

dude, you owe me a beer buddy! No way in hell you are going to lap me bro!!!

I stand corrected, jemil's statement of 3200lbs is a closer guesstamite than my 3500lbs, my bad, not trying to give bad info. I found that quarter mile times are averaging high 13's in the Z car, quite impressive!!!

Uh, the auction is (was) for the "spot in line", not the actual car. Not sure who bids $15k before reading the entire ad.

In refrence to the heafty weight of the 350z...The fact that its set up to be so damn close to 50/50 fronnt/rear weight and with the suspension being what it is the Z is a beast on any road corse! BTW I passed wind today that would have smoked those Honda's :toilet

No I must admit my friend's Honda is kinda quick...He beats GS-Rs like its his job. I've been in the car with him to see him smoke a Prelude, GS-R, H-22 accord, DOZENS of ricers, a new Focus SVT, and yes even a couple of SE-Rs (new and old).

not sure what question you are referring to? If its regarding what kinda beer I'll buy you, it will probably be a Canadian Coors light, which is 4.1% alcohol, pretty close to that watered down stuff you yanks drink. If you want some real, canadian lager, then I'll buy you a Canadian. And I prefer Sleemans or Alexander Kieths, thank you!

:D

unless you want something a little harder, Grand Marnier is my personal fave, maybe I'll get you a 1/5th of Canadian Club and see if your still standing after words. If so, then we might be able to hang!!!

LOL
