The convertible 350Z was there, amazing looking car. It was in silver, tastefully done. Unfortunately, you couldn't sit in it, but hey, it made it's debut . . . I was happy enough just to see it. ;-) I have pics of that, and of a few other things, I'll post them up later tonight, but I just thought I'd let the suspense build for a few hours first. Hehe.

um, aren't convertibles generally heavier and suffer a loss of ridgidity when compared to their coupe counterpart ??

i'm looking at a pic of 350Z convertible right now and am not too impressed. i like coupes but... to each his own.

well i suppose, if you must have a convertible...and a porsche is out of the budget... then the Z would be good. i still like it, no question... just like hardtops better.

SmithSR: Supposedly, Nissan designed the 350 with a convertible in mind, so it should be OK. I like the coupes too, but there's nothing like going 60 on a hot summer day on the highway with the top down, and a hot blonde on the side. :-)

lessthanjakejohn: The difference with the MR2 are redesigned tails, more chrome trim, oval exhaust tip, etc. Not really radical, which is good. I think the MR2 is probably the best of the bunch (Miata, S2000).

Oh, and on a general note: I love the G35 coupe, more than the 350Z, surprisingly enough. Just something about the styling. And out of all the cars at the show, the VQ35DE's with the 6 speed had the nicest feel to the shifter. Granted, this isn't actually driving the cars, but still, much better than the S2000, M3, etc, at least in my opinion.
