Seasons greetings to all of the old timers and welcome to all of the newbies. As you all or some of you might be aware that I have been pretty quiet on the performance set. My new job is not as flexible as not having a job and time right now is very scarce. As some of you may remember the engine in my g/f's white sentra that had the camshaft issues, which now has a set of wicked regrinds that work marvelously, has now been torn to bits because it would smoke for now immediate logical reason.
So I replaced it with a stock RWD CA18DET long block. It too smoked and I was going crazy trying to figure out what the issue was. Unburned fuel was the culprit! Weak ignition+huge injectors+9.3vdc to the computer system= disaster and waste of money. So now I have these high performance parts that I've taken out of an engine that I've literally disassembled for nothing and has less than 1000miles on it (Sucks).
So without further a due, my resolution is to take the stock CA18DET block and head to it's speak abilities. Meaning 30psi on the stock headgasket as well. I'm out to find out just how much power this puppy can take before the gasket lets go. And since I am the tuner of my own engine management system, if something blows (Which I doubt) I have no one to blame, but myself. Stay tuned for this and I will make sure that there is video footage and Hp #s at various boost levels. Expectations are clear 500+whp.......................................................
