Hey everyone, welcome to 2014! 14 years as a community and we can confidently say we're STILL the biggest, most comprehensive, and most-trafficked Nissan community on the web!

We've hit some really cool milestones this past year, including finally getting some recognition from Nissan Corporate, and being ranked the 4th-largest automotive community on the Internet.

Anyhow, we're in the midst of a HUGE redesign, with lots of updates and cool features for you guys, including a cleaner look, easier navigation, and some other awesome stuff I can't divulge yet.

Yeah, yeah, so GET TO THE DAMN POINT, GREG!

Sorry - So, the point is, I'd like everyone to take a minute and update their profile. Yeah, you guys. It's pretty simple to do - Look to the right, and up a little, and you'll see "User Control Panel." Pop in there and make sure everything's up-to-date... Your location, your vehicle, your avatar, your interests, etc. Believe it or not, this all helps us bring you a better forum experience.

Often, someone will ask a question about their car, and the answer really depends on where they live - and what car(s) you drive... if it isn't filled out, we don't know. Or maybe there's someone local who'd like to get together and wrench on cars or hang out - You may never know that the cool person in your thread lives 30 minutes away! Avatars help identify you, and give a cool visual reference so that people remember your posts. Finally, mentioning a little about yourself in your profile is also nice to have - Hey, you guys are posting selfies on Facebook and telling everyone what you had for lunch - you ain't shy! ;)

Thanks to all of you for being here, and making this job super-freaking fun. I'm really proud of this community and the help we provide to new people, and I hope to meet a lot more of you guys and gals this year at some of our events.

Thanks again, and I hope you all have a safe, prosperous, and kickass 2014.

-Greg

This is why I have a list of my former cars under mine, too. Not to boast or show off ('cause, you know, ultra-strip-model Rangers are sexy), but to let people know I have experience owning, driving, and working on those models.

Pretty sure Greg would break the internet if he listed all his former cars :P

I'll tell you what, if everyone listed their city/state in their profile, it would help me a ton in answering questions. Case in point, there was a guy in 240 GC asking about putting an RB in a 97-98 S14. He listed he was from North Carolina. Awesome, I can pull up NCDOT and look at what state legalities he might run into inspection wise. But NC emissions testing is done in a few counties, and without a city, I can't tell him if he'll run into that. That stuff helps in making a timely and accurate answer.

I updated mine, but may add in the cars I've owned: 1981 Chevy Malibu Classic sedan, 1978 Ford LTD coupe, 1991 Chevy Cavalier coupe, 1986 Cadillac Seville sedan, 1996 Honda Accord sedan, 2004 Subaru WRX, 2006 Subaru WRX-STI, 2004 Nissan Maxima. 2010 Chevy Traverse, 2009 Chevy Silverado ext cab, 2006 Acura TL, 2010 Infiniti G37x Sedan. I have worked on many cars of foreign and domestic origin and worked as a detailer, body-paint tech, mechanic and was certified in basic maintenance in 2001. My weaknesses on cars are wheels and tires offset and backspacing.
