New wheels

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I got a set of 4 wheels for my 2008 EX35 they are 18inches.
Front are 18x8.5
Rear are 18x9.5
Tires are 245/40/18
They ride smooth except when im in reverse and turning the front left wheel makes some odd noises. Its not rubbing or anything but i cant tell what it is. I used to have chunky tires so is it just me feeling every bump in the road and my controll arms making noise or something serious?
Im probably just paranoid but overall it looks great sits lower and rides much smoother and faster.

The noise when turning could be several things. It might not be rubbing the fender all the time, but it could on extreme turns or turns and compression at the same time...it could be rubbing on the inside near the strut or the control arms. If the wheels do not have the correct offset, that could cause an noise/rubbing on the inside near the brake caliper. It could be rubbing a fender liner.
