New wheels must be in the in thing for spring. Well I’m joining the fray…

Picked up some forged rims to replace the Konigs you see in my sig. I considered G35 rim and other OEMs but prefer wheels with a lip and don’t mind stepping outside the OEM realm. I’ve been holding out for quite a while until I could find a wheel that met all my requirements. They had to be strong, forged, have a lip, light, easy to clean, and look great on the Q. These did that and then some. These are Motoforge racing rims and I’m pretty impressed with them so far. When I got em from the UPS guy, he was surprised to hear that there were wheels in the two huge boxes he was delivering since they were so light. Anyway, enuf with the intro…time to whore out the pics.

Didn’t realize “titanium silver” would be so gray… I was expecting a brighter silver finish but the look grew on me fast. Saw some much darker grey rims on pdqwrx’s burgundy Q and they looked real nice to me. zerothread?id=162854 I still have the CC springs to install. On my next tire change I’m planning to move up to a 45 series to soften the ride. I’m currently running 245/40 18 Sumitomo HTR+. It’s pretty decent now but with the springs I sure it will be harder. Hopefully there won’t be any rubbing.

The specs…

Light enough to do this!

Here she is…

I’m missing a chrome strip on the passenger side. … It allows me to see how the wheels look without it. I know many don’t like the chrome, but I think it looks good on a burgundy Q.

I was bopping around in my cousin’s Integra while my wheels were being mounted. Managed to lock the keys in it and ended up having to wait hours for AAA. We had tried slim jims etc but no luck. Check out the tools the AAA guy used. The black thing is called an air wedge… used to pry the door open enough to slide a wire and flip the lock.

My ticket repellant. I keep a card in my wallet too. These things work!

Thanks Rex. I was busy editing back to the smaller photos on those two huge pics. Guess you were doing the same.

The new wheels look real nice. I think I like the look of the new wheels without the chrome fender trim. If you had chrome wheels, it would be another story.

Do you know how much they weigh?

The wheels look nice, I definitely like the chrome-less fender best though, especially with the new wheels, the old ones had polished lips so it went better with those wheels.

Definitely a very nice look! I hope they are strong enough too - given the light weight. What are they made of?

Strangely enough, I can't seem to find the weight anywhere and the company that makes them is now defunct. Got em off Ebay for a decent price. I would say these wheels weight roughly 17-18 lbs each but would need to actually weigh them to be sure.

They are hydraulic forged aluminum alloy... The manufacturing process can be seen here...

Should be pretty strong if they can stand up to rigors of racing....

kind of hard finding out anything more about these wheels as the parent company has either dropped the brand or changed names. The seller told me that they are now making 3 pc wheels???
