Got some wheels finally so I thought I'd whore 'em off a little. 16x8 +15 XXR 501. I know they are cheap knock-off wheels, don't turn this into an XXR flamewar. Don't like it? Leave. Tires are 195/45/16 Achilles ATR Sport. Pretty good for the money so far. FYI, I bought some lightweight aluminum lugnuts and even with a thin wall socket, they would not fit on these wheels. So anyone thinking of getting these wheels you can't use them. Unless they make some that the key goes into them, not around the outside. I just bought some from Advance for now.

Why did you get such small tires?

I thought it was going to be lower than it was. I forgot how small a 45 series tire was. Little to late to worry about it now. They are cheap tires, I'm gonna run 'em till they fall off then get something better.

Pretty fresh. lol. Id love to see it 2 tone ... for some reason i like s13 hatches top to be black and another tone for the bottom but thats justs me i guess. But nice s13 and the rims look good, would have been better a little bigger but looks good.

I'm feeling it! It looks good and I am digging the tire size too. Obviously bigger rim size is better but for the budget they might as well be 18's lol. Nice sir!

i think the car looks nice.
i dont frown on xxr's at all really, the wheels have decent fitment and come in many sizes and lug patterns/ offsets.
if i could suggest 2 thing though?
i would put a small spacer in the rear, 10mm maybe less...then come down just a hair. itll set it off i think.

f***, I thought 40 series were huge hahah.

...Granted that's on a 17" rim...

Anyway, wheels look nice. Your car is very clean, I like it.

195/45 is small?

Sheeeeeeeyit! I was going to stretch 175/55's onto my 8J's with the MX73.

Or do you mean sidewall?

I thought about going 195's but that would've made my car just a bit lower, something I didn't want. People dog on the stock rear spoiler but it looks really good on your car. I'm still debating whether I want to purchase a dmax spoiler for my car. Sometimes, the plain bare trunk looks too boring.

Thanks guys! I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. The spoiler doesn't look as bad with the wheels for some reason. I may just rock it since I got so many compliments on it. A few people on 240sxforums.com liked the way it looked with the wheels too. It's crazy how much a set of wheels can change the looks of a car. I've got everything that I want done to it as of now. So, next up is either a KA-T build or swap of some kind. Almost got enough saved up. Would look much nicer with a big intercooler tucked behind the bumper. Thanks again!

EDIT: badbob, I just noticed in your sig that you have the 501's. Looks sick dude! :dblthumb:

i like xxr's. i got 15x8 on my hatch, i have always liked wheels on the smaller side. hooray for cheap tires, and your car looks great, love the headlights. some rectangular fog lights would look pretty boss too!
