I was able to get a good deal on a new set of G37s 19"s, powder coated in black chrome...

They look sharp...Image

So I'll be selling my OEM g37s wheels/tires as soon as I find tires and get these mounted. So in the near future, if you have the G37 BBK, or are looking to add the G37 BBK, my current wheels will be available. These fit M perfectly with no need spacers.

But my question...

I was going to go with the Conti DWS, but for some reason, They don't make them in the G37S sizes (225/45/R19-front, 245/40/R19-rear).

So I don't have any real all-season options in those sizes except Yokohama's new AVID ENVigor,

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... rt%20Model

They have pretty decent review on the web, but I was wondering if anyone here has had any personal experiences with them, or knows of anyone who is familiar with them.

The price is great, might even find a place that will beat tirerack.com.

Any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you NEED the smaller width in front? And you could do 45s in the back too, or 40s on all, or whatever. Why do they HAVE to be those sizes?

The G37 sport wheels are staggered, and those are the OEM sizes the keep the same ratio as the M 19" sport.

For reference:

Front:
19"x8.5". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti by Enkei. Weight: 26.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5 Offset +43

Rear:
Wheels: 19"x9". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti byEnkei. Weight: 27.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5. Offset +45

Should I run different sizes?

Man those are some nice assss rims Yos, where the hell did you find them? As for your tire set up why dont you run either the same all around 245/40/19 or run that in the front and a 275/35 in the back?

My buddy at Infiniti of Tampa, came across them, ended getting them at cost.
Figured I could sell my current ones to offset the cost.

I don't think the issue is the tire size. The size now keeps my gearing and rotation to spec.

Is there any advantage to using a different size tires than the OEM?

I really want the Conti's but according to Tirerack they don't make make them in 19"s, which is pretty surprising.

I got the Avid Envigor's about 2 months ago. Like them a lot, although haven't put many miles on them. I have the Continental DWS on another car, and the sidewalls are definitely too soft for spirited driving. The Envigor's seem to be a nice balance between comfort and sport. I feel like wet performance and ultimate grip could be a bit better, but no complaints considering it's all season rubber.

It's pretty frustrating, the rear tires are on a national back order. They are expected towards the end of the month. So I really can't do anythig in the snow.

I run Yokohama S-drives (not all season) but they are great on the M in the summer, wear nice, handle great and no noise. I have Dunlop winter sport 3d's for the snow, best snow tire I've ever had.

Great news! my tires shipped today. So I'll get them installed the Monday after Christmas when Steve is back at Infiniti. I'll post pics.

I honestly haven't decided yet. but they are definitely for sale. The tires have 50% thread, and they are mounted and balanced with TMPS. There is no curb rash, but there are a few tiny nicks from the road. If your interested let me know...

Does anyone know if the G37 BBK will fit the 03 M's without any mods and where can I get them from.

Not that I know of...I really didn't think the current gen calipes fifths older gen with out major modifications.

If I were you, I'd look at the old gen brembo kit for the g35. Those would probably be a closer fit.

I could be completely wrong...

I'm glad to hear some of the feeback on these tires. I am considering these as my next set of all season tires. Maybe about 3 months from now.

Well here it is, with the new wheels.

They are definitely darker the regular chrome, but still more chrome then I would have hope for. Still I think they look sharper than the stock wheels.

I just bought a set of sport wheels and want to get them black chromed. Do you know how to get the look of yours with powdercoating ? The place I took them to had a sample that looked like gunmetal gray but it was on a plastic cap. I can't afford the real black chrome plating so how did you get the shiny silverish black look of chrome plating with the powdercoat ? Any paint codes I should know ? Any tips for the Powdercoater ? I may want mine just a bit darker too. i am in orlando, FL.
Also if anyone knows how to get the center caps black chrome without powdercoating and does anyone know where to get black chrome lugs ? Or have an opinion on what color lugs would look best with Black Chrome. thanks for any advice I'm a newbie.

I really don't know much about the powder coating. I really just bought them this way from Infiniti of Tampa. I know they used I company out of California to do the work, but that's all I know. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. My neighbor says he has a friend that owns a powder coating shop, and can duplicate the color.

I'll ask to see if he can tell be exactly what color he's using. I'll let you know as soon as I know.

I have the bridgestone potenza re050a 245/40/r19. I have been pleased with this tire, but they are expensive. I have the tire insurance and that saved my butt when I had to replace a tire from having a nail in the sidewall. Any tips on where to purchase new tires, tire rack of course, any where else? The Yokohama avid envigor, the tread pattern looks aggressive much noise here??

I have been running these extact tires for over a year now. Probably put about 40K miles on them. They have picked up that same tread noise that every other tire I have had on this car has developed. It sounds like the tread is seperated but it isn't. These are probably the best all season tires I have had on any car. They seem biased towards summer and dry weather performance. They give a firm ride with very good handling but still reasonbly comfortable. Very good tread wear so far.
