I am thinking about replacing the factory wheels on the 02Q. She has the champagne 18" on her. Any suggestions? The car is Hunter Green with Willow Leather and has a small gold accent pinstripe.

Chrome is always good. I dont think going over 19 is necessary, you dont really need it to stand out that much. Maybe like a 7spoke design.

Hey, what would you sell those wheels for??

I think I want to stay with 18's. I tend to lean moretowards something like a BBS look. Something with an intricate, delicate pattern.

not that i am biased or anything, but gold wheels go nice with a dark green car (mine's green with cheap motegi gold wheels), and you already have a matching gold pinstripe. if you are willing to spend over $500 a piece for wheels i suggest Volk GTN wheels.

I'm not sure what is it. I could never get in contact with the owners. It looks like BBS.

I like the stock wheels on my Q, but I would like chrome. Do you think it would be a feasable option to get them chromed? if so, how much would that be.

I believe my old boss got his Audi TT rims chromed for $500. That was an exchange setup where the chrome shop already had a set with chrome on them and they just swapped, and the shop installed them for him.

I ordered a set of 18 X 8 Mille Miglia Cello's today. They should be here next week. Also scheduled for window tinting and a hardwiring of my V1 tommorow. Now if I can just figure out how to get XM installed I'll be a happy camper!

I think I'm going to keep them to put back on the car when I trade it. If I change my mind, I'll post it here.

I'm a big overweight guy so it is a perfect match :bearchug Seriously, they can't be much different than the factory setup and the handling is fine for me. I'm not going to enter a 4000 pound car in a SCCA event ( maybe a flog down the strip at Gainesville) :icesangel

Unsprung mass is unsprung mass. Ride quality will degrade.

Personally, I would always look for a forged wheel for any Q, even my "cheap" first generation ones.

What are some good tire and wheel packages under $1000? I'm going to be getting some this summer, so I need to start looking. Does anyone have pics, or places I can get pictures of wheels on a 1st gen Q?

Good wheels alone are going to set you back $1K at least, unless used.

I might suggest finding a set of take offs from a newer infiniti, or on ebay that have replicas. I like the infiniti logo in the middle.

Wes is right, Woody.

Pick up some 16's from a 97-01 Q and spend your $$$ on the tires.

Good tires = Great car.

Keep your eyes posted on eBay, you can find '02 Q wheels for a decent price, almost every day. I got a set of new, dealership take-off 17" Chrome I35 wheels for my I30t, for $1,175.00, then sold my factory 17' 5-spoke polished wheels with 20,000 miles on them for $675.00 The tires were the same, except new. At $169,00 per tire, I think I did good.

eBay is either going to save me a lot of money, or send me to the poor house. It has already caused a few fights with the Mrs. She holds the purse strings prety tight around the fort.

I am personally looking for the 18" factory chrome wheels, in the future for my '94 Q

Well the wheels arrived and are installed. I also had the windows tinted and am very pleased with the look. I'll get the digital out tommorow and try and post some pics. :fruit
