I can't believe it. The new Q is in the driveway, 96 black on black 78,000 garaged.
So this is in addition to the 96 Black on Black garage queen. It will replace the 94 Green/tan when it's all sorted out.
So that means I own three Qs!!!

This is my sixth first gen.

It needs shocks.

Will these wheels fit?

Congrats on the new q! We need pictures! Not sure about fit,but those wheels you linked to look like they would be a b**** to keep clean on a daily driver!

You would need to double kill me.

My wife and I have our "well sorted" out Black on Black 96 (new trans mounts, Tokiko Blues, FSTB, PS2s) on a road trip with us now. She is letting me keep the 94 as long as I promise to spruce up the interior.

Hey Peter, how the hell do you keep scoring these clean Q's!

a 9" wide wheel in the front is a little bit much, based on my experience an 8.5 is about as much as you want to go, 8.0 is better. 8" wide wheel with 30-40mm offset works pretty well (better to stay closer to 40mm as that fits better in the rear). IMO on the Q, you don't need to run wider than a 245 or 255 tire, so there's no point in going wider than 8"

For anyone who may read this I run 18x10s +25 offset all around. Fenders rolled slight negative camber and stretched tires. I love my setup but that's just me.

Wes,

This new one was a result of bad Kia experience. We were about to buy a Kia Soul for around town daily use but the sales people were way to aggressive and the terms were terrible. Driving the garage queen (96 black on black) one day I wished that I could find a minty mint 96 for every day use. There was a low mi white one in Washington state for $7,000. I tried to score it but someone beat me too it, then the next day this new one pops up and it's not that far away. Now I'm having a hard time deciding to sell the 94, so I'm fixing it up.

I'm looking for a clean well maintained 94 to add to my garage...I wana put my dad's Q back in rehab and seriously strip everything down...down to just the shell and then change what isn't in good condition....I made a friend during a recent business visit and she makes custom carbon fiber body panels...so I'm seriously considering this project. so pm me if your interested in selling your 94...I'm also looking to add the active suspension components and HICAS if I do strip it down.

Forget the active. Forget the HICAS. Work on the suspension and std. drivetrain, find or ebay clean interior parts, then accelerate. Spray the body for $900 at MAACO, $10,000 for a OEM look, accelerate again but with a big smile.

Did these work?

I know 18x9 ET35 barely clear the strut.
