I hate that look, sorry. I do not like chrome to begin with, and the rims seem too angular for a nice round car like ours.

Also, 7.5 seems a bit narrow, what size tires do you have on them now? The car needs larger rims IMHO

WoW Tytamto! Your a tough critic! Straight to the point! Didn't even walk around your opinion.I will say it's not a bad wheel, but it really doesn't fit the M's styling. It may be more fitting for a Maxima or Altima in a sense. The wheel does look small though. Are they 17" wheels?

I don't like those wheels at all. They cheapen the M's look considerably and I thought the same thing as a previous poster that they would look more at home on an Altima.

But, if you like the wheels, at the end of the day that is all that matters. Wheels are a subjective thing.

I want to get some ACE Executives in 20's. Most people I have shown them to love them, but others have said the stock 19 inch sports look better. It is a to each their own thing.

Well Macmanks...... I'm sure this isnt what you were looking forward to.... Looks like you stepped into a lions cage.......

You guys are going to force him to get rid of the wheels now... Don't take any of the comments personal. I know they're blunt, but you were asking for comments as soon as you posted pics.

I agree. Those wheels are not a good fit for the M.

They definitely cheapen the look of the vehicle and detract from it's already aggressive styling.

The stock wheels look better.

While I'm not a huge fan of those wheels, I'm not a huge fan of most posted on the forums even when others are.

The main thing is that you like them. If you do, then enjoy! It is your car!

Beauties my arse. Those wheels are quite awful...doesn't fit well on the M35 at all. Looks like they should be on a Toyota Corolla Seriously though, please put back on the factory wheels because you just wasted $550.

You guys just need to stop it right here. He gets the point of everyone's opinion by now I'm sure.He will probably never post back on this website now. So they don't look so great to us. He might like them.I can't say I'm innocent in any way. I criticized a member's exhaust system when I should have just kept in my comments. He held his poise in response and told me that he liked it and that he's just different to what he likes compared to most other individuals. Good for him. He pretty much made me look like an a$$ for my comment. I have to agree with my own description of being an a$$. Because in a ways, I was being rude without knowing it at the time of my post.Just an FYI for anyone else that has the urge to post more negative comments.

You need to chill, guy. You asked for opinions, and that is what you got. Next time don't ask if you can't handle the responses.

If you have so much money, just buy a nice set of wheels the first time. I am not impressed with your immature riposte.

Sorry I did not focus on this thread after reading the first one or two and seeing the pictures - not to my taste either - but, the comments seem to start out as opinions of people's impression of the wheels and seem to have gone downhill from there.

While none of the comments were truly over the top, let's be nicer, folks!

Please understand that although those that responded did not like my new wheels, I do like them. I did not request opinions because I really do not care whether anyone likes them or not - especially those that don't. Opinions are worthless and I am personally dismayed at people who feel compelled to seek the opinions of others in order to decide what they personally like or what they personally should do. Like they feel some overwhelming need to conform and receive praise over very insignificant things such as automotive modifications.

I posted the pics to share what I like. I was and am excited with my choice in wheels. If anyone was assisted by seeing them, either with what they might or now might not do, then that was great.

I do not like nor support negativity. It is a waste of time and certainly not what is productive.

While I think Tytus should keep his opinions to himself or learn how to express them in manner that it productive, I had no qualms with the kind but blunt thoughts shared by the others who chose to post.

I removed the pics and posts so as to not further allow this thread to promote bashing of any kind. It has nothing to do with the heat as the "heat" was only hot air.

I am somewhat discouraged by the behavior of some, the vocal few, on this forum and therefore avoid it for the most part. Though I enjoy my "M" and am continually curious as to what others are doing - so that maybe I can learn something. With this thread I learned that on NICCO it is best to observe as opposed to contribute because if what you contribute is contrary to the narrow opinion of a select few those people will not treat you with respect.

Thank you M4T5 for you unheeded attempt to quell the downward spiral.

macmanks,

Some of the guys should have kept their comments down to a more civilized manner I agree. Though you have to agree that the world would not turn correctly without opinions. Be them negative or positive. At the same time there are other ways to bring about a negative comment. If we didn't have opinions we could all be driving just a heap of metal we call transportation. Same goes for our clothes we like to look good in. We could all be wearing flannel shirts and wrangler blue jeans. Nothing is wrong with that really unless your just out working around the yard, hunting, camping, or fishing. The world needs opinions to evolve. Negative or positive. You should know this and agree. The members just should have worded their comments differently is all. So, I will take the step out on the limb and apologize for everyone's excessive negativity. We are all still here to help with problems. You will still find this an informative site. I know I will not be posting pics of my wheels here now! I would hate what you guys thought of my 205/70/15 on my spoked Daytons that stick out 8 inches past my fenders!

Well put and I agree. It is okay not to like the wheels and to say so if so compelled. Just keep it to that. I too have my opinions on what others post, but I promise I will never post them in a manner that insults. These cars and how we modify them are an extension of who we are. To insult a man's car or wife or child is to insult him. I doubt most would be so bold in person as compared to when hiding behind a computed hundreds of miles away and if they do speak in that manner they probably have no friends.

Macmanks,

I am glad to see that you are still present here. I missed the direction this thread went after the first few posts, so I also apologize for the few comments that went beyond simple commentary on the wheels.

In my opinion, those wheels do detract from the look of the car compared to the original OEM wheels. Also keep in mind that the reduction in width to 7.5" does limit the choice of tires you can put on it - this makes a 245/45-18 tire the maximum width you should attempt to put on.

Equally importantly, I hope that the strength of the wheel is sufficient for our relatively heavy cars.

true! true! Internet forums are the best places to show off your alter ego.

As for your car.... let the haters hate, and just do what you like.
