Well I have had my 91 tt z for about 4 years now, I don't drive it very often (it had 98k on it when i bought it and now has 101K). I just bought wheels 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rears with 225/40's on the front and 245/35's on the rear. I still have the stock shocks and struts on the car and like the adjustability in the car. What do you guys recomend for updating the susspention? I do not race the car. And I don't want it any lower than it already is. Any other recomendations or ideas would be great. I just don't know where to start. Performance wise i was looking at a POP charger intake and a new computer boost jets and an exhaust, and recomendations there would be great.

Thanks and I look forward to all your oppinions. OH and the car is an AT. Does anyone have any experience with the AT line conditioners?

How is it that you are only running 245/35's on a 9.5 in. wheel? I'm running 255/50's on the stock 7.5's. Am I missing something?

wtf 245's on a 9.5??

I run 255's on a 9.0 and they taper in a bit.

Do you have any pictures of your tires on the wheel ?? lol

Yeah, I was concered about this as well. I don't have the wheels yet they will be in Saturday morning, The wheels are the Stern ST-1 Grey.

A 245/35 18 has the same diam as the stock 245-45-16 with a 12.4" radius.

I was trying to keep these within the stock specks, I haven't picked up the wheels yet.

I will post the pics as soon as I get back from the tire store. I will make sure these are the right set up. I can still swap out the tires with 255 or 265's .

stock is a 225 on a 7.5" and 245 o a 8.5"I'm running 295 on 11" and 315 on 12" so I win with the help of a sawzall

as for suspension, a fat front swap bar will help keep it flat in the corners without effecting your ride height or stock adjustable struts

I went with a 265/35 as you can see. Having the car on the lift exposed my next project and thank god it's just the exhaust. No leaks

Thanks for your help and any exhaust advice?

Nice wheels! My old wheels on my 240 were 225/45 front 255/40 rear. Size was recommended by local performance shop. I hated it the front tire looked fater than the rear. With a rear wheel drive car I like to see a higher fatter tire on the rear. I was looking at wheel packages and they had about the same size listed. Could I do 225/40 front 255/40 rear? Are they listing the tires this way to keep the hight the same?

That Z looks very hot. The only thing I'd do is find some black brake paint and get to work on that. I'm about to paint mine blue hopefully this week.

Wow thanks for the link! I've been on that site before. I still can't get the wheels to line up with the picture of my car. Trying to find what wheels I like on my car.

Those wheels look very nice.

And as for the suspension, get some sway bars if you want to stiffen up the suspension but don't want to change the ride height.

Nice looking Fairlady you have there, wheels really set if off but I would have went with 18x9's in the front. You still have a little bit of fender gap there.

Stock wheels are not for sale. I did see a web site that was selling them reconditioned for 400 /pr.

I am going to go with the HKS Exhaust. Thanks though.

I bought those wheels and tires through Les Schwab here in WA. Too find a retailer in your area contact the Golden Apple Corp @ 510-780-9800. These people are quite helpful. I couldn't tell you the offset off the top of my head. I'll see if I have the exact part numbers on my receipt when i get home.

Thanks for all your kind comments and I'll keep you guys posted as this project rolls along like at a snails pace.
