This was a nice weekend for the old car. My wheels arrived on Thursday, I test fitted them Friday and decided to put them all on. The fit is great, the look, etc, but I think I'll space the fronts out about 1/2" to make it match the rear better. Also installed Brembo blank's and Wagner Thermoquiet pads, flushed with Valvoline Syn fluid, drained 9 month old Redline (Amsoil filter replaced half way through) and re-filled with Amsoil & filter and I guess that's it. The oil after that long was dark, but still transparent, still quite slippery and no grit. I also picked up some SilverStar turn signal bulbs, but didn't get to them yet.

Wheels are TSW Catalunya 19x8 +20 and 19x9.5 +20, tires are General Exclaim UHP W rated (General is owned by Conti) in sizes 245/35-19 and 275/30-19. The rear wheels look nuts from the back of the car, whoever is behind me will definitely notice. I'm going to roll the rear fenders some time this week most likely at a friends shop. It rubs, but only on large bumps, today, it didn't rub once and I drove a good bit. Which is amazing because it's only like 1" from the tire to the lip, guess it's pretty stiffly sprung. The tires are very quiet, nice looking tread and from what I read about them, all the reviews were very good. All in all, I'm real happy with it, I had a huge grin all weekend cruising around, just a few more things to do, and I'll roll this car for a few years with pleasure.

CSi!!! WOOT! Yep, I've been on there longer than any forum, almost 6 years, used to have an '00.

The lip is actually deeper than it looks, only about half of it is polished.

Uh... looks nice, fits perfectly but isn't that wheel same one as your old wheel from your sig? I think Y33 looks a lot better with wheels like this, Work Euroline DH... but nontheless, you built your car very nicely man, big thumbs up!

I like them!

They're not the same as the one in the sig pic; there's more lip, they're darker, and the center is different.

Also,

These kinds of wheels are the bane of my existence. Soooo nasty.

Man that is how a Y33 is supposed to sit..... I still would prefer a thicker looking wheel on a big car, with thicker spokes... OH well.....

Looks great Falkie...

Nice and clean, Kevin. I like how the wheels look on your car. Fitment is perfect.

Looks nice, but it does take a close look to see they're not the same as the ones you had before. And that's some monster tread width on the rear WOO.

Are you using a rolling tool, or?

Thanks for the comments everyone. I know that not everyone will like them, but I do! It's hard to see in these pics, but there are bolts around the center, and the center is a "hyper-black". The polished lip really hit's off the chrome trim on the car, it looks so much better in person than my lousy pic-taking skill show.

The fenders will be rolled at a friends shop, while I watch to make sure they're careful.

I like it.

Falk, with your springs, what is your camber like? How do the tires wear?

Thanks all!

Q_Ship, the camber is around -2.5 in the rear and just a little less in front. After just over a year, the old tires have hardly any excess wear, I could easily see 2 more years on them for whoever gets them.

Ditto. Falk, those are the most perfect wheels for the Y33 I've ever seen.

Wow, I poped my Q forum cherry.

That is one hot Cima man. I love the look of those wheels. I agree with everyone who says your car is hot. By the way, did I say your car is hot. Dam...makes me want to ditch the Laurel and get a Cima. Wait...forced induction I6, or N/A V8. Now that is really a tough decision.

19" is the perfect size for the Y33, period. Not too big, not too small. Just hot!

Thanks Duy, I totally agree. Just looks right.

Here are a few pics I just snapped at work with our vintage Sony 2.0 mp camera that uses FLOPPY DISKS! hahahahaha, still, it's better quality than what I have at home.

Definetely IMO the sharpest looking Y33 on NICO!!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy it from you in a second, as much as you baby it!! Damn, looks real good man. May I ask how many miles are on it?

You should put up a mod list of all of the things you have done to your Q.

P.S. ----> I love it when Rex makes the clicky images!!

How much is that lowered? Or is it stock height? Beautiful car. Been watching for a size/offset wheel with a lip that I like, I found it! Anyone know how that same size wheel/offset/tire setup would look on a 94 Q45? Same I hope.

Kevin,

Hey, what are you doing with your old ones? might be intereted in them if you still have them...I am back in LA for thanksgiving and I brought one of the M45 19" Rims i bought and my mechanic said that the rears fit fine but the fronts will only fit with spacers and he thinks he'll have to get some longer studs...probably not worthy it but I still really like them.

BTW, I found out my right rear shock is leaking, wish I'd ordered those shocks from you!!!! I will need to do that soon, any other shocks lying around that got unclaimed (wishful thinking).

Let me know if you old wheels are available.

Jeff

Way too much visual mass, IMO. Would look great on a Panzer Tiger IV or with the JC Whitney brake dust covers.

Nice pictures, Kevin, and thanks for all your help on my fitment questions. Your trial fitment helped me immeasurably.
