New wheels are finally here!

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi guys,

Here are some pictures I took today with the quad tip exhaust and 3M CF overlay for the roof.

How come you kept this a secret from us?

Adding a little Chrome this time, perhaps?

have you installed the springs yourself or had them installed? How big is the ride difference before & after?

Yeah, new rims are diamond cut face with lots bling

I had a shop installed the springs for me, can't do it on my own with the limited tools I have.
A big plus on the handling of the car. The ride quality is considered good, but I wish it was softer. If Eibach made spring for EX, that will probably be my choice of springs. Still, H&R springs are great quality parts and I don't have any problem with them.

My next mod will be camber. Right now I have -1.6 on my rear wheels and the adjustments are already to the max. I will try Eibach camber bolts for both FX and Gs and see if they are compatible with the EX.

Looks very nice! well done!

Now on a side question, I saw lots of european vehicles (such as MB / BMW) that are RWD hence having wider tires in the rear. Can the RWD EX do that also (having wider wheels at the back)?

John, wheels are painted black with polished/diamond cut face. I will take some closer shots tomorrow.

jamesstock, of course you can. The reason that I choose same size all the way around is because I can rotate tires and extend the life of my tires.
Also another thing is that even the EX is based on G coupe, its not the same. We are unable to run low offset wheels. (I tried 9.5 with +27 offset and the rear are too wide)
If you are going with staggered setup, I recommended 8.5 front 9.5 rear with higher offset like 40+ but that will not give you much "lip" like those European cars.

I have no idea... I was too excited when I got them and just took it to the shop to mount them so I forgot to weight them...

I have a feeling the offsets are about the same as the current G sedan (high).

Factory offset for the EX are +45 for the 17 x 7.5 and +47 for the 18 x 8 so yeah they are pretty high.

Well, I have been saving things for a while and I am able to get some of the stuff at a really good deal.
One of my friend owns the shop doing decals and roof overlay and anotherone wholesale performance parts. If anyone is in SoCal I can hook you guys up.
Shipping might be a deal breaker if you guys in Canada though...

Sweet! Love the quad exhaust. Details please.

The roof overlay is different, and not sure if I like it, but that's not the point; as long as you are is all that counts.

Very sweet looking and unique EX!

I have noticed the toughest part of the exterior for me to take care is the roof. With the overlay I don't have to worry about tree sap, bird drop and scratches at high speed. I don't even have to climb up to wax the roof. I was going to just overlay a glossy black but my friend wanted to try something different for his business so we ended up with the CF look. I don't know if it suits the rest of the car but just trying out different things.
The exhaust is just welded on tips. They are about $50~$100 a set depend on the brand and style. Those are oval rolled edge like the factory ones. Opening is about 3" wide each and I think they are a little too small. The bumper needs to be cut to fit. I just cut it with dremel and sand them to make sure even opening on both sides. I do have to repaint the bumper since my bottom portion is also painted.

My friend's company that did the roof.
Doesn't really matter if it's lame or not but just to help a friend out.

Looks great. I'd like to see more pics of this one. Can you provide size specs on the rims and tires?

The comment 5 posts up was just plain rude.
