I'm interested in getting a new set of wheels and tires to upgrade from my 15" piepans. My car is Ivory Quartz in color.I only want an oem application since I can but these for reasonable money. Here is a chart showing some of the wheel information:

Listed below are some of the options I'm considering, if they'll work.

2006 350Z Wheels and Tires 18" x 9.0" (front) RAYS® super-lightweight 5-spoke forged-alloy wheels. 19" x 10.0" (rear) RAYS® super-lightweight 5-spoke forged-alloy wheels. P245/40WR18 (front) and P265/35WR19 (rear) high-performance tires.

Will the front or rear wheels fit? Is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) a concern?

2006 350Z Wheels and Tires 18" x 8.0" (front) 5-spoke cast aluminum-alloy wheels18" x 8.5" (rear) 5-spoke cast aluminum-alloy wheelsP225/45WR18 (front) and P245/45WR18 (rear) high-performance tires

Wes has the same track wheels (Rays) IIRC

19's seem to big, rubbing issues id guess. But hey you can modify anything:)

No Y50 wheels will require at least .5" spacers.

One thing you are ignoring is load rating of the tires in stock OEM 26" diameter. The OEM minimum load rating specification is 95. Further performance and durability gains will be yours at greater load ratings.

Look at the tires first, then work back into the wheel required to mount them correctly so that they will work well.

I have the chrome 2004 Q wheels. I'd rank your choices, in order of fitment and load rating:

FX35/FX45 18'sQ45 18'sG35 18's

The M wheels have weird offsets, the G Coupe wheels (19's) are not attractive, and the Alty SE-R's? Bleh.

Based on pricing and availability, I'd say find some 02-05 Q wheels.

Option 1 B (the z wheels minus the stupid dots on the spokes) are perhaps my favorite wheel ever.

But I don't think they'd look good on a Q.

The M45 sport wheels are contender with the above for favorite wheel ever. They'd look good on a Q, but as Hitman mentioned, they are a wierd offset.

I don't like any of the other options, actually.

If these are for a G50, you must consider these:

18x7.5 from a Maxima or 18x something wider from a Z. They can be readily found for ~$550/set +shipping on ebay--versus the ~$600/wheel dealer price. Not sure about load rating.

I think they look incredible on the G50.

I agree with Greg, except I'll add the 350Z 18" Rays to that list. The ones Wes' is running. You won't be able to go wider the ~255/40 on the rear, but they look great and are nice and light.

You can fit the M45 wheels with 1" spacers, the rears fit no sweat but the fronts require the 1" spacer. I have a set sitting in my garage, I was going to sell them but everyone feel through and than I heard about a guy on the board that fit them without any problem using a set of 1" spacers. Since the 90-96 and my 2nd gen do not really have the wheels out to the corners it really makes the car look nice.

If I was looking again I'd look for 18" Q or FX rims, but since I have these 19" already bought I'm going to mount them with the spacers and see how it goes.

I like the ones I'm running - 350z touring. THey're cheap, but you have to swap out the front tires.

Rear offset is a TINY bit positive.

I agree about the stupid little dents in the spokes of the forged 350z wheels.

OEM Bridgestones are crap anyways.

What's the stats on those?

I like the wheels, I just hate the little dents. Maybe you could fill them with bondo and have someone respray the wheels?

My wheels are 18x8, dunno exact offset.

The 8-spoke 02-05 Q45 wheels are available in 7.5 and 8 inch widths in the 18 inch diameter as well as the 7.5 x 17 size (35mm offset on the 17's) as you have in the pics of the 05 Q's.

Look closely at the picture below.

The FX 20" wheels are 18x8 40mm offset. Just have to buy 20" tires if you go that way. My *guess* is the 18" version is the same width/offset.

So would the 2006 350Z 18" x 9.0" (front) RAYS® fit if I were to use them for all four corners with the P245/40WR18 tires?

Not that I know of, but they're all 8" wide versus some of the same look Q wheels only being 7.5 wide.

1. The OEM 2006 M35/45 wheels have a very high offset (close to 50mm) and cannot be used on other Infiniti models (using spacers is not recommended!)

2. The OEM 2003/2004 M45 wheels can be used on other Infiniti models since the offset is compatible with many of them.

Depends on what the offset is for the 06 Rays is, I kind of doubt the offset on them is high enough to not pose a rubbing issue or require "additional" camber. Also, with them being this new, it would be enarly impssosble to find them for sale, and paying "dealer costs" would just not make sense.

I toyed with the idea of trying to get 4 rear 05 18" Rays, but I'm not sure they'd fit without some slight "adjustments".

Thanks for the pics! I just remebered your car after seeing those gorgeous pics. I saw the pics a while back. Those wheels really suit the car.

So 8" wide is the significance of the FX wheel.

The OEM 2006 M35/45 wheels are out. How are the OEM 2003/2004 M45 different from the Q45 wheels? The look the same to me in the pics.

I haven't posted any pics of my car. The white Q is AZ's and the green Q I posted earlier is Wes'.

Not sure if the older M45's are all 8" wide or not. I'd just suggest you look for the 8" regardless of what they say the wheels came off. Also, make sure they're actual Nissan/OEM, not replica.

Wow. Very thorough list of OEM wheel choices.

Personally, I love the pre 06 forged Z wheels like Wes's and Keith's. My second choice (based on looks, not fitment) would be the forged 19" G wheels.

Assuming you can't get the info from a Nissan site, I usually look for back of wheel pics on ebay to see the numbers stamped into the wheel.

Maybe you could sweet talk a dealer in to checking if they have any. It should be marked on the box or even listed in the part description??

Just for reference, I'm pretty sure the 19" G35 Rays areFront: 19" x 8" 30mm offsetRear:19" x 8.5" 33mm offset

Which would be close, and may require the inner wheel well lip to be rolled. Tire size would play a big "roll" in that .
