Prolly should have posted this in the wheels forum... but i'll go ahead and get some opinions. I know road salt f*cks up chrome wheels... but what about powder coated wheels? ie. bronze fno1rc.... anyone have any experience with this?

Salt is definitely not good for them. Alot of my customers put their stock wheels on for the winter. Me, I just keep mine clean and dry. Most of the damage that occurs is caused while the wheel is drying. Sun shining through drops of water magnafies and burns tiny pits in your wheels. Then the salt gets in thoughs pits and reacts with the metal. A good wheel polish or even a good handwax will help prolong the life of your wheel. I wash my car every other day making sure to dry the wheels, of course its easy for me. I run one of the largest carwashes in the nation.

ps I also have the bronze fno1rcs'

Thanx for the heads up... just waiting on the wheels in the mail... I'd love to beable to wash my car everyday but i don't have access to a carwash like that... instead i'd freeze my ballz off trying to keep them clean in the winter time... should prolly just keep the stockies on and wait out the winter
