OK Im trying this thread again because I had bits and pieces in a few different places and not everyone was getting the full history, figured Id start over from scratch to help you help me. :yesnod

History:
Installed new wheels last Wednesday. Hubcentric rings are on, lugs are torqued properly with a Torque Wrench, not my palm gauge. Car vibrates badly above 65MPH. Car, wheels, and tires brought to shop for alignment and rebalance last Saturday. Vibration is still there Monday AM, go back to shop Monday PM, shop re-calibrates their machines and Road Force tests all 4 wheels/tires, everything checks out PERFECT, no chance for defective tire, no chance for defective wheel.

Now...I had a pretty bad accident 2 years ago, a few pieces of the front suspension were repaired/replaced. Is there any way that there could have been an underlying problem that didnt show until I put the new wheels on? If thats the case, Im going to have to go to the dealership.

BUT, before I go to the dealership I want to be sure Im not missing anything that can easily be remedied without them. I've had suggestions to re-balance the tires, get alignment, and remove the hubcentric rings. The only thing I havent done is removed the rings but that just sounds like a bad idea to me.

HELP!!! This is driving me absolutely insane...Im looking to the experts before the dealer makes me put the lotion in the basket.

Thanks all.

were the wheels you bought new or used? is it possibly a bad tire or tires?

usually its the vibration between the hub.... the hubcentric rings are definet. the right size, made for our bore?

other than that the only thing that could be causing it is the balance.

P.S. I drove around like that with the wheels vibrating for a year lol, cause my spacers weren't hubcentric lulz

Wheels and tires are brand new, cannot be bad balance or defective tire or wheel because they were tested on a Road Force Machine which detects that.

If I remember correctly, they were 66.10. They seemed to fit perfectly, although "seem" doesnt really mean anything. I'll check with the distributor on this but I think the rings were good.

*EDIT* They are indeed 66.1 to 73 hubcentric rings.
