New Water Pump causes high idle?

Hey guys and gals...Just replaced the H20 pump on my 93 w/ a KA24DE... now the car idels between 1200 and 1500 consistently, but when i go to stop at a red light, the idle could drop down to about 500 or below (it has stalled once...) I'm gonna try asjusting the idle via the screw today, possibly remove the AAV... anything else that could do this?

Did you put back all the vacuum hoses in place when you took off the intake piping to get access to your water pump? Give that a check and make sure everything is back in place. Check the idle screw and put everything in spec, then test again.
