Just got my 1st vert s13 and have a few questions.

The piece of the top that drops down between the back seats and the trunk... should that be secured in any way to the floor of the trunk?

Also, anyone had any luck painting or repainting the framework of the top?I want to take the cloth top off and repaint the frame. As well as give the top a new window.

Super Advan Generation II 16x7 front and 16x8 rearCeramic coated header with Apexi N1 all the way backS14 KA with about 70k, 5speed trannyIntake from who knows whereStill looking for a suitable suspension setup.

Ok, questions over... a few pics for you.

Gutted the horrible interior to start from scratch.

First..... no, that piece of cloth does not attach to the floor of the trunk, if that's what you're asking. It just makes a sort of hammock where the top rests while it's down.

Second.... what's going on with your dash?

Third... just FYI, the term "vert s13" is a bit redundant, as this was the only S chassis offered as a vert (and no, I don't count the s15 Varietta)

thats a good start. good choice on redoing the interior, but remember to keep all the parts you take out because some vert specific parts are hard to source.

also, ditch those mirrors and that dash

The dash was a part of an entire center console and sub enclosure that took up the entire back seat. It housed 4 15 inch speakers and the doors had about 30lbs of putty and fiberglass each.

Dash is coming out this weekend and the interior is going back in as well.

I kept all the pieces and will be cleaning/painting them all back to stock colors and conditions.

And ok, it's a vert then. :P

EDIT... Before pics... Not for the faint of heart.

PFFT! That's how it should have been from the factory! Well, not with that crazy enclosure thing. The back seats are useless anyway.

That was definitely interesting... Keep us posted with updates.

Well, if I can get my hands on it, I'll go kouki front... if I can find one.

After that, who knows...

BC Spec II is on the way, as are coilovers.

Turbo setup is in it's planning stages.
