Greetings Everyone!

On July 24th this year, I brought my 05 Sentra in for a oil change at my local dealer as I have done many times before. Always looked at the cars on showroom floor and have always had a interest in the Versa. Long story short, this attractive Sales Women wanted to know if I wanted to get my Sentra appraised for a trade in. Keep in mind, I had NO intention of buying a new car.

Long story short, I drove home that evening in my new Versa! Already have 1900 miles on it. Love the room! Performance is better then my Sentra with the same engine! Had it in for 1st oil change at 900 miles.

Nissan did a great job with this car!

You never stood a chance my friend.

Anyhow, welcome to the forum! The Versa is a great car. We looked very closely at the new Sentra, but the Versa hatchback had more room and we simply liked it better.

Thanks Matt.

Yes, I never did have a chance! LoL... Not a bad deal, extended my car payments for another 2 years... slightly more. Got a $300.00 a year discount on my Auto Insurance as well! That was a nice surprise!

Good car, feels solid. Seems like it should last for the "long haul". At least until I run into that Sales Women again.

Best...

Bob

Welcome to the board! I had test driven a Sentra before I bought my (2nd) Versa, and it just shows how one car company can hit the nail on the head with one car (the Versa) and be so far off the mark with the other (the Sentra) that it's not even funny.

Maybe if the Sentra was about the same price as a Versa, and there was no sedan version of the Versa, it might have a good fit in the lineup. Sadly for the current Sentra, I have seen only a couple people, besides rental fleets, buy them... I see WAY more Versas on the road!
