Although it is described as a new 'global sedan', Nissan Canada is reporting it's the new Versa.

I hope they fix the back hatch and stop the rear lights cutting in so much. The only thing I don't like about my hatchback is how those rear lights cut away at so much space.

Wow, big slip up on their part. Or maybe it was planed - to create rumors and talk about the new Versa. Hmm.

Looks intriguing nonetheless. Hopefully they won't make it as "interesting" looking as the Juke.

I believe the Juke is here to compete with the Kia Soul

The Cube is the more natural competitor to the the Soul.

The Juke is sort of a new entry that seeks to satisfy a niche market that Nissan wants to enter & define. There are many urban folks who want the height & seating position of a crossover, but without the large size & SUV driving characteristics.

The Juke's closest natural competitor is the Suzuki SX4.

Most sketches and concepts are dumb - rendered by artists, not automotive engineers. So I pay about as much attention to them as I do to Sarah Palin.

The angle isn't ideal - but from what I can see, it looks like Nissan decided to put the MR-16DDT in the Tiida.









The rumor mill also says they'll kill off the ugly Tiida sedan, and basically release the new Sentra on the common platform as the new Tiida, but with styling design that resembles the concept above, so it doesn't look like someone used a hacksaw and threw together a trunk.
