Hello everyone I would like to introduce myself. I am new to the Nissan scene but not new to the imports at all. Besides training under a 20 year Honda master mechanic I have also modified many hondas. I just purchased a 2009 Versa 1.6 Sedan in Fresh Powder and I already see it as a work in progress. I am hoping to improve performance in acceleration a little bit but also am planning on improving the handling characteristics of the car as well. Hopefully I can prove myself to be a worthy member of this board. I will try to get some pictures of the car on here later.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. The new base sedans are quite a bit different from the previous sedan versions!

That is the stock grill on the Versa 1.6 Sedan we dont get the chrome, luckly. The 1.6 also has the the lower grill painted body color stock instead of black like the higher end Versas, but I am kinda undecided if I like that body color or I would like that black.

Did you paint your lower grill (the one in your bumper) or are they starting to come that way from the factory?

Congrats on your car! I do like the 1.6 grille and front bumper better than the version found on the upper trims.

Stereo install looks nice and clean.

Lower grill comes painted the same color as the body on the USA Versa 1.6. It is said that it costs them less money to paint it than to leave it black because then they dont have to tape that area off when it is in the paint area but I dont know. All other 2009 Versa's they had on the lot when I bought mine had black lower grills. Mine was the only 1.6 they had on the lot.

I kind of like the matching body colour. It looks good. The only thing I am not a fan of is the door pillars. I don't like them body coloured, I prefer it black, especially once the windows are tinted.

Sheesh. They used money and time to make it black and I used money and time to match the color... figures.
