Hello all, I'm a new Versa owner and I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been reading this forum quite a bit the last couple of days prior to the purchase, and it was very informative.

I got a "Fresh Powder" 1.8 SL HB with CVT, Intelligent Key, Bluetooth, Audio Package with Sub, Sport Package, Sunroof, and XM activated. I'm amazed at the refinement and accoutrements...it's a great little car, that's really not-so-little. The car is actually for my wife-to-be (in 10 days), but I'm hoping I'll get to be behind the wheel pretty often.

My alter ego is over at ***TEXT EDITED BY MODERATOR***, as I'm an Infiniti G20 owner and enthusiast, and of course a die-hard Nissan fan. I'm hoping to have as wonderful experience with the Versa as I've had with my G, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions come up along the way...

Oh, and I'll try to get some pics up soon...

Hey, no problem. Sorry, I should have read up on that policy prior to posting...didn't think of it that way.

Ha ha, yeah, my fiancee held out for the white one, while I thought magnetic gray was pretty sweet. Our local dealership had plenty of Versas, but only one had all the options, so she got her pick. It's winning me over, though, as I never was a huge fan of white cars - but the Versa sure looks good in white. Her two requirements going into the purchase were a sunroof and ABS...which apparently was a rare combo at this dealership.

Seems over here they are either completely base or completely loaded for the SLs, so the Sunroof/ABS combo isn't as hard to find.

Oh, and while you're here, check out our Sentra/G20 forums.

When I was putting mine together, it was impossible to get the ABS w/o the sport package if I wanted the convenience and audio...

Yeah, it's funny how there'll be an abundance of similarly equipped cars but then other options are harder to come by.

When we were looking around here, the dealership had probably 15+ Versas (Versi?) and many of them had intelligent key, and quite a few had sunroofs, but ABS was a little more scarce. I would think they'd want more of them sitting there with ABS and not intelligent key, for the buyer who wants safety over a tech item they might not like...but I guess they sort of have to guess what the most popular items will be.

I forgot, our other restriction was white or gray paint, and that led us to the only white/gray SL with ABS and a sunroof...and plenty of other goodies that I'm glad we went with. I think it was one of maybe two on the lot with the sport package.

Oh, just took it on a ~200 mile trip (making sure not to stay at one speed too long per break in period guidelines) and got 27 mpg on the first fill-up. From what I've read around here, that should only increase as time goes by, and when I can set the cruise and keep my foot off of the pedal. Activated XM on the trip and made a few BT phone calls...it all works seamlessly. I'm very impressed so far.

Well, here are some pics of the new car...we're loving it by the way.

I didn't have time to wash it, although it had just finished raining when I took these pics...I'll have to find a more scenic location soon.

Thanks! That's the factory kit that comes with the sport package. At first I wasn't sure it was necessary, but now I'm really glad I got it.
