Just traded in my 2004 Frontier for a 2007 Versa. Here's what I got;
Brilliant Silver Metallic Versa SL, with ABS package, CVT, stainless steel door sill plates, splash guards, floor mat set. Price paid; $17,600.
My first impression of this car was the build quality and "professional" appearance. This is NOT a tuner's car! I was looking for a five-door hatchback that looked respectable (in other words, not like a Scion), had a decent amount of interior space (I am a travelling computer technician for a school district), that managed to get at least 30 MPG, and it had to have ABS.
Being a Nissan man, the Versa was the first car I looked at. I was planning on ordering a Blue Onyx SL with beige interior with 6 speed manual. I wound up buying the one I test-drove after driving it for just one mile! This car offers the best of both worlds (small, yet roomy), the CVT is surprisingly quick, and still gets +/- 36 MPG. I have owned nine different cars in the past 6 years, and this is by far the best I've ever owned or driven. Now you can have your cake, and eat it too.
