new Versa owner-- Slidell LA

I bought an 09 Versa hatchback 1.8S auto last week at the Nissan dealer. It only had 300 miles on it. It was their dealership car I suppose as it was owned by the dealership according to carfax.

Inservice date is APR2010 so I have nearly a full 3yr 30K mile waranty.

So far I really like the car. My other car is a 2007 Altima 3.5SE CVT. It has 60K miles and has been trouble free. Only issue: the rear sway bar broke in two at 50K. Don't ask, I have no idea how that happened. Covered under my extended waranty. My wife drives the Altima.

The Versa is primarily a go-to-work car. I drive to New Orleans and on ocassion to Baton Rogue for work.

I've read many of the posts on the Versa forum and I was a bit dismayed at how the spark plugs are such a PITA to change. I love the fact the engine has a timing chain. Love Nissans for that reason.

Anyway--- I'm hoping there's another forum member here from Slidell or close by. I like to do my own maintenence, and love these forums for tech tips.

I'm a fellow LA person, but I live outside of Shreveport, its a bit a drive from Slidell (5 hours or so i think)
