Hi, my name is Tony and I'm a Versa-holic.

Everybody: "Hi, Tony"

Just got a 2009 Versa: 1.8 6 speed manual (of, course).

I never loved a car this much. My wife and I fight over whose turn it is to drive. (She usually wins.)

I have two minor beefs with the car:1) It's cool the way the dashboard lights up with that amber glow, but I keep forgetting to turn on the lights. If you're going to have the illuminated dash, day running head-lights would have been a better idea

2) My MPG beats the hell out of my old 1997 Mercury Villager, but how do I get 30 Mpg in the city like all you liars claim. Short of drafting ten feet behind a semi or inflating my tires up to 50 psi, I'm open to all tips for better milage. Right now I get between 22 and 24 in 90% city driving.

I'll honk when I see any of you fellow V-car drivers (wimpy horn and all).

Welcome Tony!

Glad to hear you love your Versa.

As for the light issue. Many people here have complained about that and the fact that they forget to turn on their lights. I have DRL so it's not really an issue; but at night I always know to turn them on because my stereo is not lit up with DRL so I know something is missing, haha.

Enjoy your car, and your stay!

Merry Christmas! ! !

Congrats!

In a mix of city and highway driving I have been getting 30-32mpg myself. Maybe it's because I really hate idling my car for any extended period of time. I did hammer on it for a tank once and got 23mpg, but as long as I take it relatively easy the Versa returns great fuel mileage.
